POLICIES

Studio Etiquette

  • Your “me time” is as important to me as it is to you. Creating space that you can unwind, let down your hair to be pampered is what I strive for.
  • To maintain a relaxing environment for my guests, the studio service area is reserved for only those guests being serviced.
  • No eating full meals in the studio.  You may have light snacks.  I kindly asked That you have your meal before or after your service out of the studio. You may enjoy Beverages
  • Those not receiving service are not permitted beyond the waiting area including children. Should you have to bring your child do notify me ahead of time.
  • Studio is a private suite servicing woman only. I asked that you not invite anyone to the studio during your service, if you must they will need to be met outside.

Reservation

  • A valid credit card/debit card is required to secure a reservation for all clients. Some services required a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.

  • Your card will only be charged at the time of booking IF deposit is required for the service you are booking. Otherwise, your card will only be authorized, NOT CHARGED. Unless the appointment cancellation policy have been broken.

  • An appointment modification to remove a service is considered a cancellation & also requires 24 hours notice. Or you’ll be subject to cancellation fee.

  • If an appointment is scheduled in person at the studio, you are still liable for cancelling and/or rescheduling that appointment within the cancellation policy.

  • It’s important to come prepared for a reserved appointment keeping in mind the condition your hair need to be. FRESHLY AND THOROUGHLY CLEANED HAIR AND SCALP. This mean, hair MUST be, look and smell CLEAN. Unless, you are receiving color service.

Cancellation

  • I value your time as my guest and set aside time exclusively for you! Therefore, I require a full 24 hours notice of your intent to cancel your appointment in order to accommodate others who wish to be serviced.

  • If you schedule an appointment and I don’t hear from you to cancel, I’ll assume you’re coming. If you are a no show for your scheduled appointment you will be charged the entirety of your scheduled service, I’ll also be force to denied you of making future appointments.

  • Appointments cancelled in less than 24 hours notice is subject to 100% of the scheduled service.

  • Please ensure I have the correct phone number and email address on file so that you can receive appointment reminder.

  • I understand emergencies happen but it is necessary that I make up for lost time and maintain the business. The policy will apply to all last minute cancellations including life crisis or any emergencies etc. it’ll be left to my discretion whether or not to uphold the policy. It’s important to keep the line of communication open for unforeseen weather crisis. I value yours and my own safety.

Early Arrival

  • My guest appreciate their time with me giving them my undivided attention. This means if you arrive early for your appointment. Sit tight in your car until your appointed time. Give me time to complete the service for the guest before you and/or enjoy my break. I won’t be able to accommodate you any earlier than your scheduled time. Unless, I have reached out to you to come in early.

Payments

  • Payment accepted Credit Card, Debit Cards, Apple Pay, Paypal or Zelle. Your Gratuities are appreciated.

  • Credit and Debit cards payment are reserved for ALL SERVICES EXCEPT  installations.

Deposits

  • A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required to book Installation.

  • A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to book Color Service.
  • Deposits will go toward final bill.

Late Arrival

  • I do my best to respect my guest’s time and to be prompt with every appointment. I realize sometimes plans may be delayed. However, if you arrive more than 15 minutes you may be asked to wait, reschedule or abbreviate your appointment in order to honor my next guest’s appointment.

  • If  I’m still able to accommodate you, you’ll be assessed an automatic $15 late fee at checkout in addition to your service fee. If I’m unable to accommodate you, and your appointment must be canceled/rescheduled, you are subject to cancellation fees. Applied to non hourly services

  • Arriving beyond the allowed 15 minute maximum the service will begin assuming at the original time. For example, Your appointment is at 9:00am and you arrive at 9:17am assume that your service has begun at 9:00am. It will end at the original projected end time with full service fee charge whether or not the service is completed. Applied to hourly services.

  • As long as you arrive within your grace period (10 to 15 mins) there’s no need to notify me ahead of time. No exchange is needed BEFORE the grace period. Should you have to contact me the day of your appointment, you may call. No text message communication.

  • New Clients, I ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early for your scheduled appointment to allow time for parking and locating the studio for the first time. I’ll still start your appointment as scheduled.

Refunds

  • Your Satisfaction is my first priority. Returns and refunds are limited to the following situations
  •  I do not offer refunds on services rendered. I do my best to manage expectations prior to rendering services. However, if you find issue with the results of your service, please let me know as soon as possible and allow me the opportunity to remedy the situation.

  • I offer a range of products. As many of these items are used for personal hygiene and/or are curated by small businesses I do not offer refunds or exchanges.

Hair conditions

  • For sanitary reasons hair MUST be freshly shampooed before service. This mean your hair must be shampoo the same day or few hours before your appointment. Unless, you are receiving color Service.

  • Guest whose Hair is not already freshly shampooed and a shampooing service was not reserved and/or requested ahead of time will be forced to reschedule and will be charge for the entirety of the service booked.

  • Hair MUST be, smell, and look cleaned.
  • Overdue, excessive slippage etc. will make the retightening take longer. This may increase service price. It’s best not to assume the price of your services before it is completed.
  • retightening service that requires more than 4 hrs to complete a second session must be book to complete the rest on another day.

Color

  •  For color service, DO NOT SHAMPOO HAIR for this appointment. This will cause irritation to the scalp.

  • Aside from color touch up services, consultation is required for all other color services.

Establishment 

  • Remainder payment Must be received in full the morning of installation prior to us getting started in the form of  CASH, Paypal or Zelle.

  • Rescheduling installation appointment is not guaranteed. The situation will be assessed and left up to my discretion.

  • Less than 48 hours rescheduling or cancelling of an installation appointment will automatically result in the security deposit being forfeited. Guest must pay security deposit again if they wish to continue with the installation process.

  • On the day of installation hair MUST be freshly shampooed, stretched and free of any product (oil, cream, conditioner, etc.). Air dry hair & please arrive with hair in detangled afro so that we can get started right away.

Consultation

  • Prior to consultation hair must be FRESHLY shampooed, free of any product, style detangled and air dried. If not, you are subject to the cancellation fee.
  • Consultation Fee WILL NOT be applied to the interlocks or microlocks establishment fee.
  • Consultation Fee is applied to sisterlocks establishment fee, only if moving forward with establishment. Consultation is a complete separate service on its own.
